Got to liking Self Esteem, bought Smash, and ended up getting Ignition and S/T. For the past 27 years, I've traced my interest in punk rock right back to that tv show. I'd really like to know what that show was and maybe even see the segment again. The only thing that I'm certain about is that it was July-early November of 1995, though I think it was likely in October. I would have bet that this was Road Rules Season 1 but I have been unable to find anything like the scene I remember. There might have been bungee jumping involved, since I have a memory of someone taking a jump as "La La La La La" started playing. The song played as people were driving around on a freeway throwing cups of coffee or soup at passing cars just for the hell of it. I distinctly remember seeing a reality type of tv show (on MTV I think) in the Fall of 1995 that featured Self Esteem as the soundtrack for one of its segments.
I've exhausted all of my internet sleuthing skills and have come up empty. Ok, so I'm wondering if anybody can help me out with this.
